Why you should visit Singapore!

Singapore has been called the 20th century’s most successful development story. By the 1990s, the country had become one of the world’s most prosperous nations. It has a strong economy and strong international trading links. Singapore has separated from Malaysia to become independent and sovereign state on the 9th August 1965. T

There are so many reasons this city is worth a visit, but to mention few:

  • It’s one of the world’s greenest cities!
  • Clean
  • It’s home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site
  • Safe
  • Multicultural country with ethnic Chinese, Malays and ethnic Indians and Chinese Singaporeans, that make up the majority of the population.
  • First nigh zoo
  • Lots to explore

Which places are a MUST visit in Singapore? Here is my list:

1. Marina Bay Sands Singapore

This hotel has opened in 2010 and is great for everyone who appreciate luxury. The complex includes three towers topped by a connecting 340-metre-long SkyPark. The view from the hotel is breathtaking as it is surrounded by the Gardens By the bay.  Depending on the date of stay, it costs around 200-300 pounds / night to stay in this luxurious hotel.  The Lotus shaped building by the side of the hotel, that you see on the picture is the ArtScience Museum.

2. Gardens By The Bay

This place is well known of the Gian Super Trees that are 25m and 50m tall with composed of actual living plants. You can enter this place for free and watch the light show and listening to the playing classical music. If you would like to go on the top of the trees and walk along the ‘ OCBC SkyWay’ there is a fee to enter.  The gardens by the bay is a nature park spanning 101 hectares. You will not only find here giant trees, but the the magical sight of 334 large inflated egg-shaped lights floating on Dragonfly Lake too. These eggs are touch sensitive. When you touch them they change color and also make sound depending on the color. These eggs are called: Autonomous Resonating Life On The Water And Resonating Trees.

You will also find at this garden  the Flower Dome, Cloud Forest, Supertree Grove, Japanese garden. The prices to get into these vary. For prices click here.

JAPANESE GARDEN – This area is peaceful, tranquil in the middle of Singapore. At the moment the Japanese Garden is closed for redevelopment works. The expected reopening is the end of 2021. However

3. Sentosa Island Singapore

The Sentosa Island is popular of it’s resorts, entertainment and attractions. It also has the best beaches like Palawan and Tanjong beach. You will see a beautiful light show here and listen to some calming music.  The smoke will come as the music plays. It is just so relaxing and peaceful to spend the evening in this beautiful place. Therer are several bars along the beach too, to enjoy a refreshment.

You will also find here the Sentosa 4D Adventureland, Magical Shores, Butterfly Park and Insect Kingdom

Universal Studios s a theme park located within Resorts World Sentosa on Sentosa Island. It features 28 rides and gives you the best adventurous experience!

These are few things I wrapped up into my blog. Singapore is definitely a MUST visit city. I fell inlove with it!
